There is a new locally micro brewed beer named after the famed blacksmith turned warlord called Chinggis Khaan. We'll be testing it out in all it's handcrafted glory @ Sadie's starting on Oct 17th

Despite being named after one of the world's fiercest horseman and famed warriors, likely the most gnarly part of this new brew is that it contains Mongolia's "Golden Root" a.ka. Rhodiola rosea...

The ancient homeopathic medicinal properties of this root have been rumored to include exhaustion fighting properties, and like Ginseng, it's a well known folk lore "adaptogen". Golden Root was believed to enhance uh, "fertility" prospects in it's male users and young Siberian married couples were often presented with a bouquet of it before their honeymoon.

Golden Root was traded throughout the ancient world, with the Greeks, Vikings and ancient Chinese scribes all giving it prime mention back in the day. In the 1700's it was found good for fighting vaginal discharge, and cold war era Soviets even gave it secretly to their soldiers and Olympic contenders to encourage superior performance.

In recent years it has become a much studied herbal supplement, used to fight depression & fatigue, boost the nervous system, and ease stress. Apparently research has been conducted showing it to have properties that may also aid in weight loss, memory enhancement, endorphin release and immune system stimulation. Golden Root may increase the bodies ability to fight and recover from toxins and even relax back & neck aches.




Hey ... we make no claims that Chinggis Khaan Beer can do all this stuff... but wouldn't it be nice to be in on the taste test...and get a healthy little bonus...

Named after the esteemed ancient ruler of Mongolia this brand new addition to the brewing scene is conquering folks one sip at a time. Now, eight hundred years after Chengis Khaan's reign tha stands unique through time, there is a beer powerful enough to link to the cultural traditions and perhaps earn a similar lasting reverence.

Come down to Sadie's this Sunday and meet Enki, the brewer who has created this hand made Pilsner style brew and sip on some Golden Root via refreshing freshly bottled Chinggis Khaan. Believe me you'll love it, at least more than you would 'Airag' (fermented Mongolian mares milk). It's made using ale yeast instead of lager yeast and fermented and bottled with loving care by the experts in obscure brewing techniques at Bison in Berkely.

It's all good down here in the 'hood.
